I have had such a busy weekend of running errands, preparing of the holidays, and making Christmas Candy! It's a tradition that every year, my mother, grandmother -- or as everyone calls her, Nene -- my cousin, Katie, and I all spend a whole Sunday melting chocolate, rolling up coconut balls, and making sugar cookies. It's one of the holiday traditions that I love and can't wait to pass on through the family. This year, was a little different. Katie was not there to help because she is now living in San Diego with her husband. As much as I love to use her home as a vacation spot in the summer, I definitely miss her presence during the holiday season.
Now, I'm back in Manhattan, picking up the slack on assignments and cramming for finals next week. I definitely missed my apartment when I was away this weekend. I had spent a whole night rearranging my furniture and deep-cleaning every nook and cranny. I will be making a post soon to show off my little home her in Manhappiness.
